Dozer & Excavator Operator

About this role

Experienced dozer and excavator operators needed for heavy civil and site grading projects in Spartanburg, SC. You’ll run dozers and/or excavators on site work, perform daily care of your machine, help with manual tasks when needed, and follow directions from the site foreman. This is a full-time role on local heavy civil jobs. Candidates must have at least 2 years of equipment experience, be safety-focused, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. What you'll do

• • Operate dozers and/or excavators on heavy civil and site grading projects per job plans and foreman directions
• • Perform daily pre-start inspections, routine maintenance, and basic repairs on assigned equipment
• • Assist crew with manual labor tasks (stakes, cleanup, material handling) as needed on site
• • Follow directions from the site foreman/supervisor and comply with all site safety rules and traffic control
• • Report equipment issues, keep machines clean and secure, and log maintenance activities

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating dozers and/or excavators on civil or site work
• • Ability to perform daily equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• • Comfortable performing manual labor and working in variable weather conditions
• • Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and foreman instructions
• • Able to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire
• • Reliable attendance and punctuality; valid driver’s license preferred

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• • Equipment operator certifications or trade school training (preferred)
• • OSHA 10-hour or site safety training (preferred)
• • Basic diesel/equipment maintenance experience
• • Ability to communicate in English for safety and crew coordination
• • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
