Heavy Equipment Operator - Track Hoe
About This Role
Operate track hoes/excavators on commercial and residential job sites across San Antonio. You’ll handle digging, trenching, grading, and loading trucks — work is mostly outdoor, hands-on, and moves from site to site. Pay range $22–30/hr depending on experience; overtime paid at time-and-a-half. We need reliable operators who show up on time, follow safety rules, and keep machines and job sites cleaned and ready. Typical schedule is weekdays with occasional weekend or evening overtime. Immediate openings — bring your experience and get to work fast.
What You'll Do
- • Operate track hoes/excavators for digging, trenching, grading, backfill, and material handling
- • Inspect machines before and after shifts; report defects and perform basic daily maintenance
- • Follow site plans and grade stakes to meet elevation and slope specs
- • Load/unload trucks, place material, and assist laborers as needed on site
- • Follow jobsite safety rules, maintain clean work area, and participate in safety meetings
What We're Looking For
- • 2+ years operating track hoes/excavators on construction sites
- • Able to read basic site plans and use grade stakes/laser levels
- • Physically able to climb in/out of equipment and work outdoors in all weather
- • Reliable transportation to and from job sites across San Antonio
- • Willingness to work early starts, overtime, and occasional weekend shifts
Qualifications
- • Equipment operator certification or documented work history on track hoes/excavators
- • OSHA 10-hour safety card (preferred)
- • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- • CDL Class A/B — preferred but not required
