What You'll Do

  • Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform excavation, grading, material handling, demolition, and site-support tasks per project plans
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, perform basic maintenance, and report mechanical or safety issues
  • Work closely with foremen, superintendents, laborers, and other operators to meet production and safety goals
  • Set up and maintain safe work zones, assist with traffic control/flagging, and enforce site safety rules
  • Travel to assigned project sites on rotation and support mobilization/demobilization tasks

What We're Looking For

  • Prior heavy equipment operating experience (2+ years preferred) across multiple machine types
  • Proven ability to operate and switch between excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, etc.
  • Strong situational awareness and commitment to following safety procedures on active sites
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and willingness to travel on rotation
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work extended rotations away from home
  • Basic mechanical skills for daily inspections and the ability to report and document equipment issues

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B preferred where applicable
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driving-record review
  • OSHA 10-hour card or equivalent preferred
  • Equipment operator certifications a plus (NCCER, vendor-specific, or industry certifications)
  • DOT medical card where required by project or vehicle type
  • English proficiency required; Spanish or other language skills are a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience (paid travel/mobilization time when applicable)
  • Daily per diem plus travel stipend to cover meals and incidental expenses
  • Company-paid airfare, hotel, rental car, and rotation flight home when required
  • Paid mobilization time and company credit/gas card for approved work travel
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) plan; paid time off and company-paid holidays
  • Clear advancement path into Lead Operator, Foreman, and Superintendent roles
