Motor Grader Operator

About this role

We are hiring experienced blade/motor grader operators for projects based out of Plainview, TX and across the West Texas area. Positions are available for candidates who can start immediately and have proven motor grader experience. Full benefits are provided, and workers traveling 60+ miles may qualify for a weekly per diem. This is heavy civil and paving work: you will be operating equipment on active job sites and working closely with the site crew to meet grade and schedule requirements.

What you'll do

• • Operate motor grader for rough and finish grading on roads, pads, and paving subgrades
• • Read and follow grade stakes, construction drawings, and survey instructions
• • Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• • Coordinate with foreman, operators, and laborers to sequence work and maintain production
• • Maintain site housekeeping, follow safety rules, and report equipment issues promptly

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience operating motor graders on civil or paving projects
• • Ability to read and interpret grade stakes and basic construction drawings
• • Basic heavy-equipment maintenance skills (daily checks, minor adjustments)
• • Comfort working outdoors in West Texas conditions and on varied schedules
• • Reliable transportation to Plainview area or willingness to travel to job sites

Qualifications

• • Proven motor grader/blade operation experience
• • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Comfortable reading survey/grade instructions and following site safety rules
• • OSHA 10 or similar safety training preferred
