Commercial Boiler Technician
About This Role
We’re hiring a hands-on Commercial Boiler Technician in Orlando, FL. This full-time role works Monday–Friday with on-call rotation as needed. Pay range is $24.00–$48.00/hr based on experience and qualifications. You’ll install, maintain, start up and repair commercial boiler systems across a variety of buildings. You must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, at least 2 years’ commercial boiler experience, and a commitment to safety and good customer service. What You'll Do
- • Install, start-up, maintain and repair commercial steam and hot water boiler systems across commercial properties
- • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control system issues; perform component testing and calibration
- • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, inspect and clean boiler components, and conduct flue and pressure relief valve testing
- • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams to complete installations and repairs
- • Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment; ensure all job sites follow safety protocols
- • Provide clear customer communication on job status, service recommendations and work completed
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 2 years’ experience working on commercial boiler systems (maintenance, troubleshooting and repair)
- • Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical controls, gas systems, pumps, valves and pressure components
- • Experience with welding/brazing (oxygen/acetylene), pipe fabrication and running gas/water piping
- • Able to read schematics and blueprints and perform boiler start-ups and system calibrations
- • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug test, background check and driving record review
- • Able to work independently, lift equipment, climb ladders and respond to on-call service needs
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Minimum 2 years commercial boiler technician experience; experience with 200k–50M BTU systems a plus
- • Welding certification or demonstrated welding experience (oxygen/acetylene, socket/butt weld fabrication)
- • Boiler operator license or other local/state boiler certifications if required by jurisdiction (preferred)
- • Comfortable reading schematics; HVAC controls, electrical troubleshooting and water treatment know-how
- • English required; Spanish a plus — company offers language training; must pass pre-employment checks
