HVAC Technician II-III

About This Role

Full-time commercial HVAC Technicians needed in Phoenix, AZ to support large commercial projects. You’ll diagnose, repair and maintain RTUs, chillers, boilers, hydronic and DX systems, perform startups, and respond to emergency calls when needed. We expect hands-on technicians who put safety first, can read blueprints and technical specs, mentor apprentices on site, and deliver a clean, professional experience to project teams and clients. What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC equipment (RTUs, chillers, boilers, AHUs/MAUs, pumps, VAVs, cooling towers, hydronic systems, DX circuits).
  • Perform equipment startups, tune-ups, preventive maintenance, refrigerant recovery/charging and emergency service response.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and control wiring to execute work accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow lockout/tagout and jobsite safety procedures; maintain tools, testing equipment and job documentation.
  • Mentor and direct apprentices on-site; coordinate tasks with the team under general supervision to meet project schedules.
  • Complete service reports, parts requests and other required documentation in a timely, professional manner.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years technical training or equivalent hands-on commercial HVAC experience.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting electrical, control, mechanical and refrigeration systems on commercial equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals and execute work safely and efficiently.
  • Strong safety focus with experience following lockout/tagout and jobsite safety procedures.
  • Comfortable mentoring apprentices and communicating clearly with project teams and clients.

  • EPA 608 Type I
  • EPA 608 Type II
  • EPA 608 Type III
  • EPA 608 Universal
  • 5+ years relevant technical training or equivalent work-related experience (preferred journeyman-level skill)
  • Journeyman HVAC license preferred; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control schematics
