Ironworker Lead / Structural Erection Foreman

Beaumont, TX Up to $50/hr

About This Role

Lead and supervise structural steel erection crews on commercial and industrial projects in the Beaumont, TX area. This senior field role focuses on planning, sequencing, safety enforcement, and quality control to deliver projects on time and to specification. You will direct crews and subcontractors, review drawings and erection plans, coordinate lifts and rigging, and enforce OSHA and company safety standards. Pay up to $50/hr for experienced candidates with 15+ years in structural steel erection and proven leadership in the field.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and direct structural steel erection crews, subcontractors, and site personnel daily to meet project schedules.
  • Coordinate work sequencing, manpower, equipment, cranes, and rigging for safe, efficient lifts and installations.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings, site inspections, and enforce OSHA and site-specific safety policies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans; resolve field discrepancies and communicate changes.
  • Oversee quality control for welding, bolting, fit-up and alignment; document inspections and corrective actions.
  • Maintain daily progress logs, report site changes, and communicate status with project managers, engineers, and inspectors.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years' experience in structural steel erection with significant supervisory or lead experience.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, site safety programs, and accident investigation/root cause analysis.
  • Experience planning lifts, rigging operations, crane coordination, and supervising weld/bolt quality.
  • Track record of managing manpower, schedules, and basic budget/billing coordination on-site.
  • Clear communicator—able to coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and crew members.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Card
  • Certified Rigger / Signal Person (or equivalent)
  • NCCER Ironworker credential or equivalent trade certification preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Spanish language skills a plus
