Painter / Paperhanger — Architectural Overlay Installer
About this role
Join a nationwide commercial team installing specialty architectural wraps on interior surfaces like doors, walls, cabinetry and columns. Most work is indoor, on clean, air-conditioned job sites — ideal for someone who likes precise, detail-oriented finish work and steady conditions. This role fits candidates with construction-site experience or backgrounds in window film, graphics, or car wraps. You’ll learn company-specific techniques on the job, with a guaranteed 40-hour week and opportunities to move up quickly based on quality of work and how fast you learn.
What you'll do
- • Install specialty overlay and wrap materials to doors, walls, cabinetry, columns and other interior surfaces.
- • Measure, cut and fit film/material to tight tolerances; make accurate seams and trim finishes.
- • Prepare surfaces: clean, remove contaminants, repair minor imperfections, and ensure proper adhesion.
- • Perform precise finish work requiring strong hand skills and attention to detail.
- • Coordinate with site supervisors and trades to meet schedule and site rules on commercial construction sites.
What we're looking for
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings and installation instructions.
- • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and jobsite practices.
- • Accurate measuring and cutting skills for specialty materials.
- • Experience or aptitude for specialty material installation (wraps, window film, graphics, car wraps).
- • Surface preparation skills: cleaning, light repair, and ensuring substrate readiness.
Qualifications
- • Previous construction site experience or experience with window film/graphics/car wraps preferred.
- • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for reaching job sites.
- • Able to perform physical tasks: kneeling, bending, lifting, and standing for full shifts.
- • Willingness to complete site-specific safety orientation and background check as required.
- • Comfortable reading measurements, simple drawings, and following detailed instructions.
What we offer
- • Guaranteed 40-hour work week and steady schedule on commercial projects.
- • Mostly indoor, clean, air-conditioned job sites — less exposure to harsh weather.
- • Hands-on training in architectural overlay and specialty wrap techniques.
- • Clear advancement path and quick raise potential based on quality and speed of learning.
- • Nationwide work opportunities with consistent project flow.
