- • Fit, position and perform high-precision welds (SMAW/GTAW/GMAW/FCAW) on piping systems
- • Assemble and install pipe runs, flanges, fittings and supports to project standards
- • Inspect welds and make repairs to substandard work; document quality checks
- • Assist with rigging, pre-fabrication layout and coordination with field crews
- • Operate industry tools and equipment (air arc gouger, grinders, stress-relief machines) and maintain a safe work area
What We're Looking For
- • Proven welding experience on piping (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum) using SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and FCAW
- • Ability to read and follow blueprints, welding symbols, codes and project specs
- • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces and on uneven surfaces; able to lift up to 50 lbs
- • Strong layout and measurement skills; can estimate sizes, distances and materials
- • Able to work independently and with a crew, follow instructions, and communicate clearly with supervisors
- • Must pass a weld test and pre-access drug and alcohol screening
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Demonstrated proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and FCAW; tank and structural welding experience a plus
- • AWS welding certification or NCCER credentials preferred but not always required
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) preferred; confined space and fall protection training a plus
- • Valid U.S. Driver’s License may be required; ability to pass pre-access drug/alcohol test and site-specific background checks
- • Must supply own basic hand tools
What We Offer
- • Competitive pay based on experience (DOE) with overtime opportunities
- • Paid travel to job sites or mileage reimbursement when required
- • Health insurance and retirement savings options (where provided by client/project)
- • Tool allowance or reimbursement (depending on assignment)
