Pipefitter Foreman
About This Role
Lead and supervise industrial pipefitting crews on projects in and around Louisville, KY. You’ll run day-to-day pipe installation and maintenance work, enforce safety and quality standards, coordinate with project managers and other trades, and keep jobs on schedule and on spec. We’re looking for a hands-on foreman who knows steel and plastic pipe systems, valve work, trenching, and preventive maintenance. If you can troubleshoot piping issues, manage crews and subcontractors, and keep clear project documentation, this is a steady, site-based leadership role with competitive pay and benefits based on experience.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise daily pipefitting crew activities and assign work to journeymen and apprentices
- • Read plans and specifications; set layout, measure, and guide installation of steel and plastic piping systems
- • Perform and oversee valve installations, tie-ins, welding/execution with crew when required, and excavation/trench work support
- • Inspect work for code compliance and quality; enforce safety procedures and PPE use on site
- • Coordinate with project managers, other trades, inspectors, and vendors; manage permits and inspection schedules
- • Troubleshoot piping systems and lead corrective actions; maintain project documentation, time sheets, and progress reports
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 5 years industrial/commercial pipefitting experience with proven foreman or lead role experience
- • Hands-on experience with steel and plastic pipe installation, valve installation, and excavation/trench work
- • Strong troubleshooting skills for piping systems and preventive maintenance inspections
- • Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes, permit/inspection processes, and construction site safety
- • Leadership and crew management: scheduling, performance tracking, conflict resolution, and subcontractor coordination
Qualifications
- • Journeyman pipefitter or equivalent industrial pipefitting experience (preferred)
- • OSHA 30-hour construction safety card (or OSHA 10 minimum)
- • Confined space entry and rescue, CPR/First Aid certifications (preferred)
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; CDL preferred but not required
- • Ability to read blueprints/specs and use common pipefitting tools and measuring devices
- • English proficiency for on-site safety and coordination (bilingual candidates encouraged)
