Structural / Pipe Fitter

About This Role

Full-time Structural / Pipe Fitter needed in Houma, LA for local industrial and marine/energy projects. This role is for experienced fitters who handle both structural steel work and piping tasks. No per diem is offered—local candidates only. You’ll join job sites doing structural installs, pipe fabrication and installation, valve work, excavation and general site layout. Expect hands-on work reading drawings, using rigging equipment, and collaborating with small crews to complete installs safely and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and site layouts for structural and piping scopes
• • Measure, cut, fit and install steel pipe, valves, supports and structural components
• • Perform butt-weld pipe fabrication, valve installation and final tie-ins to system specifications
• • Rig, hoist and set rebar cages, equipment and piping using slings, chains and lifts
• • Conduct system troubleshooting, pressure checks and basic plumbing/connection work
• • Assist with excavation, trench work, demolition and general civil construction tasks as required

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience in structural and pipefitting on industrial or marine projects
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and technical schematics
• • Skilled in piping installation, butt-weld fabrication and valve installation
• • Comfortable with rigging, hoisting, measuring, cutting and site layout
• • Experience with excavation/trench work, underground pipefitting and general construction
• • Strong safety mindset and ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/trade school or apprenticeship preferred
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and job-site safety training
• • Proven butt-weld pipe fabrication and welding experience (fitting-level competency)
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Houma-area sites
• • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks as required
• • Proficient English reading of blueprints; additional language skills a plus
