Advancement and on-the-job training are available for dependable team members.
What You'll Do
- • Lay sanitary, storm, and water main piping including flanged ductile iron and stainless steel press-fit systems per layout
- • Assist with excavation, trenching, backfilling and proper use and setup of trench boxes
- • Set up and use pipe lasers; install RCP, ADS storm pipe and sanitary/water pipe to grade and alignment
- • Cut and prepare pipe using grinders and pipe-cutting tools; fit and join pipe sections
- • Work safely at heights with fall protection and use hand signals to guide equipment operators
- • Direct and coach laborers on correct tools, pipe lengths, cutting techniques and site clean-up
What We're Looking For
- • Previous pipelaying, utility, or heavy civil experience (installation of sanitary/storm/water mains preferred)
- • Comfort with heavy physical labor: lifting, carrying, shoring, and working in trenches
- • Ability to read basic site layout and measure/verify pipe grade and alignment
- • Experience operating or working around excavators and other heavy equipment; use of hand signals
- • Familiarity with pipe lasers, RCP/ADS systems, ductile iron installation or willingness to learn
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- • OSHA 10-hour (preferred) or OSHA 30-hour safety card
- • Fall protection and trench/shoring training preferred
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- • Basic English communication; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
What We Offer
- • Competitive pay (based on experience) plus overtime opportunities
- • Health, dental, and vision insurance options
- • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match (where offered)
- • Paid time off, holidays, and steady project hours
- • On-the-job training, safety certification support, and opportunities for promotion
