Plumber General Foreman
About This Role
Lead plumbing crews on large commercial construction projects in Phoenix, AZ. You will supervise foremen and craft workers, coordinate plumbing installations from planning through completion, and make sure work meets schedule, budget and code requirements. This is a hands-on supervisory role — you’ll read blueprints and VDC/BIM models, plan daily work packages, manage labor and materials, enforce safety standards, and train apprentices and field staff to raise quality and productivity.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise foremen and craft crews on-site; assign daily tasks and inspect work in progress and upon completion.
- • Read and interpret blueprints, VDC/BIM models, spool sheets and construction documents to plan installations.
- • Schedule and coordinate plumbing activities with other trades; manage labor coding, timecards and material usage.
- • Enforce safety procedures, perform on-site testing/inspections, and ensure compliance with local and national plumbing codes.
- • Train, mentor and direct apprentices and field staff to improve skills, productivity and jobsite safety.
- • Participate in job planning, estimate worker-hours for work packages, and support invoice processing for plumbing operations.
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 6 years trade experience in commercial plumbing; 4+ years managing crews on large construction sites.
- • At least 2 years prior leadership or foreman-level experience supervising multiple crews.
- • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BIM/VDC models, and construction documents.
- • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials and code compliance.
- • Clear verbal and written English communication; reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
- • Valid driver’s license for occasional company vehicle use and ability to pass required background/work authorization checks.
Qualifications
- • Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred (license pays $1.00/hr premium).
- • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety card preferred.
- • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- • Ability to read technical drawings and VDC/BIM output.
- • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; minimum age 18.
