About This Role

Seeking a hands-on journeyman plumber in Bowling Green, KY to install, maintain, and repair residential and multifamily plumbing systems. You’ll handle pipefitting, troubleshooting, fixture installation, and ensure all work meets local plumbing codes. This is a field-first role — expect daily job sites in the Bowling Green area, direct interaction with residents and property managers, and work on water, waste, and gas systems. State plumber license required; bring solid troubleshooting skills and a practical approach to get the job done right and on time.

What You'll Do

  • Install, assemble, and test plumbing systems for residential and multifamily units (water, waste, gas, and venting).
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on fixtures, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and piping; diagnose leaks, clogs, and pressure problems.
  • Read blueprints and work orders to lay out jobs, rough-in and finish plumbing, measure and cut pipe, and perform accurate installations.
  • Ensure all work complies with Kentucky plumbing codes and local permits; coordinate inspections and correct any deficiencies.
  • Keep accurate job logs, report materials used, maintain parts inventory, and communicate status with supervisors and property managers.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle; follow safety procedures, keep job sites clean, and protect resident spaces during work.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven journeyman-level plumbing experience in residential and multifamily settings (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Kentucky plumbing codes, pipefitting techniques, and common materials (copper, PEX, PVC, threaded pipe).
  • Competence with diagnostics and repairs for fixtures, water heaters, gas lines, and pumps.
  • Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and material lists; skilled with hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to pass background and drug screening when required.

Qualifications

  • State Licensed Plumber (Kentucky) — required.
  • Journeyman classification or equivalent field experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces and at heights; physically fit for trade work.
  • English required for safety and work communication; Spanish or other language skills a plus.
