Assistant Electrical Project Manager
About This Role
Assistant Electrical Project Manager needed near Grove, OK to support planning and coordination of electrical construction projects. This is a hands-on role for someone with electrical construction experience who wants to grow into full project management responsibilities. You will work between the field and the office — helping with scheduling, budgets, subcontractor coordination, drawings, permits, and daily job tracking. Expect regular site visits, clear communication with crews, and direct support of the project manager to keep jobs on schedule and under budget.
What You'll Do
- • Assist the project manager with scheduling crews, subcontractors and equipment; update and distribute schedule changes.
- • Support budgeting and cost tracking: monitor job costs, help process change orders, and assist with job cost reports.
- • Review and interpret electrical and civil drawings; prepare and maintain scope documents, RFIs and submittals.
- • Visit job sites regularly to track progress, perform inspections, document issues and work with foremen to resolve field problems.
- • Coordinate permits and inspections with authorities and keep permit documentation up to date.
- • Maintain project documentation: daily logs, meeting minutes, photos, and communication between field, office and clients.
What We're Looking For
- • 3+ years electrical construction experience or equivalent field supervision experience.
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and civil layouts.
- • Hands-on experience with scheduling, basic cost estimation and tracking job costs.
- • Strong verbal and written communication; able to lead crews and coordinate subcontractors.
- • Knowledge of local building codes, permit processes, and OSHA safety practices.
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with construction management software.
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or associate degree preferred
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 preferred; NCCER or similar certifications a plus
- • Journeyman electrician or equivalent field certification preferred
- • Able to pass background check and drug screen
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning construction management software
