Civil Foreman
About This Role
Experienced Civil Foreman needed for a 6-month, day-shift assignment at a 1x1 combined-cycle natural gas power plant in Redfield, AR. You will lead civil crews and drive safe, high-quality execution of earthwork, utilities, and structural concrete work across the site. This is a hands-on foreman role working a 5x10 day schedule. You’ll supervise laborers, operators, carpenters and ironworkers; manage concrete placements, formwork and rebar; track daily production and manpower; and work with superintendents and field engineers to keep the project on schedule. Pay is $34/hr with a $100 per diem for days worked.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise and lead civil craft crews (laborers, equipment operators, carpenters, ironworkers) for earthwork, utilities and concrete scopes
- • Plan and coordinate daily excavation, backfill, underground utilities, site grading and earthwork activities
- • Oversee concrete operations: formwork layout, rebar placement, concrete placement, finishing and curing for foundations and major plant components
- • Enforce safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture on site; support inspections and testing as required
- • Track and report daily progress: manpower, equipment usage, production quantities, materials and site issues
- • Coordinate with superintendents, field engineers, QC and other trades to resolve field problems and keep schedule on track
What We're Looking For
- • 5+ years field foreman or lead experience on heavy civil or power plant concrete projects
- • Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications and layout plans
- • Hands-on experience with concrete formwork, reinforcing steel, placement, finishing and curing
- • Proven track record supervising mixed crews (laborers, operators, carpenters, ironworkers) and managing crew productivity
- • Good communicator who can coordinate with superintendents, QC and other trades to resolve issues
- • Ability to track daily production, manpower, equipment and material needs; adjust resources to meet schedule
Qualifications
- • Minimum 5 years supervising civil/concrete work on large projects
- • Competent in reading civil/structural drawings and layout
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to site
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen if required
- • English proficiency sufficient for safe, clear on-site communication
