Civil Foreman — Industrial Power (Mabelvale, AR)

About this role

Experienced civil foreman needed to lead field crews on an industrial power project in Mabelvale (Little Rock), AR. This lead-level role requires hands-on supervision of daily civil construction activities, safety enforcement, scheduling, and quality control in a power plant setting. You’ll coordinate crews, equipment and materials to meet production targets, keep accurate daily records, run toolbox talks and safety meetings, and work closely with project supervision to hit schedule and quality goals. This is a site-based role on a 5x10s shift schedule with per diem provided for qualified candidates.

What you'll do

  • Lead and supervise civil crews daily to meet schedule, quality, and safety targets on the power plant site
  • Plan and coordinate people, equipment, tools and materials for safe, efficient work sequencing
  • Maintain accurate records: job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily reports
  • Run toolbox talks, enforce company and government safety rules, and address crew safety concerns
  • Inspect work for quality and conformance to plans/specifications; correct deficiencies or report to supervision
  • Coordinate with other crafts and project supervision to keep work moving and resolve field issues

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial civil construction, including crew supervision at power plants or similar sites
  • Strong blueprint and civil drawing reading and interpretation skills
  • Hands-on knowledge of civil methods, materials, layout, and use of hand and power tools
  • Able to work at heights, in all weather, noisy/dusty conditions and on uneven surfaces
  • Able to climb ladders/scaffolds/manlifts, move up to 50 lbs, and perform sustained physical activity on site
  • Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and follow site access rules

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Civil Foreman in a power plant or industrial setting (5+ years)
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting civil drawings and layouts
  • OSHA 10 or 30 card preferred
  • First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license may be required
  • Own basic hand tools and be prepared to work at heights; able to pass site drug/alcohol screening
