About this role
Heavy civil field leader needed to run traveling projects across West Texas. This role manages daily field operations, coordinates flaggers and heavy equipment operators, and leads large crews on site-to-site assignments. You’ll supervise crews of 80–120 workers, enforce safety and quality standards, keep projects on schedule, and travel regularly to multiple project locations in the region. Weekly per diem is available for qualified travelers.
What you'll do
- • Supervise and lead civil crews of 80–120 workers on active construction sites
- • Plan and coordinate daily field operations, including flaggers and heavy equipment placement
- • Enforce site safety, quality control, and compliance with local/state/federal regulations
- • Manage site logistics: material staging, equipment scheduling, and on-site crew assignments
- • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and clear communication with project stakeholders
- • Troubleshoot field issues, resolve conflicts, and keep work progressing to schedule
What we're looking for
- • Proven experience leading large civil construction crews (80–120 personnel)
- • Skilled in reading and interpreting civil drawings and construction plans
- • Strong verbal and written communication across crews, subcontractors, and supervisors
- • Hands-on knowledge of civil construction methods and heavy equipment operations
- • Track record of enforcing safety procedures and managing quality control in the field
- • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to projects throughout West Texas
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable travel capability
- • OSHA 30 (or equivalent) strongly preferred
- • First aid/CPR and basic emergency response training preferred
- • Proven foreman or field project manager experience in civil/earthwork
- • Ability to pass background and drug screening as required by project
