QA/QC Manager
About This Role
Hands-on QA/QC Manager needed in Forney, TX to lead assembly inspection and quality control on site. You’ll be the point person for making sure work meets drawing specs, building codes, and customer expectations. This role spends time in the shop and out in the field, inspecting assemblies, coaching crews, and documenting results. We want someone practical who can read plans, run inspections, write clear reports, and talk to production, foremen, and project managers. If you have solid assembly QA/QC experience, strong communication skills, and know building codes, this is a straight-forward role with steady hours and overtime opportunities.
What You'll Do
- • Conduct daily inspections of assembly work and site installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and building codes
- • Create and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance logs, and corrective action records (written and digital)
- • Coordinate with production leads, foremen, and project managers to fix quality issues and track rework
- • Train and coach field crews on quality standards, workmanship expectations, and inspection checklists
- • Participate in pre-installation and final inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 3+ years QA/QC experience in assembly or construction-related manufacturing
- • Strong verbal and written communication across teams — able to write clear inspection reports and lead meetings
- • Working knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations relevant to assemblies
- • Proven ability to perform inspections, identify non-conformances, and manage corrective actions
- • Comfortable working in shop and field environments; able to climb, bend, and inspect assemblies on site
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • ICC inspector certification or equivalent code/inspection credential preferred
- • Experience with quality management systems or ASQ certifications (CQA/CQE) a plus
- • English required; Spanish-language skills are a plus
