QA/QC Manager
About This Role
We are hiring a hands-on QA/QC Manager for assembly and production work in Forney, TX. You will lead quality efforts on the shop floor and job sites, making sure products meet company standards, building codes, and customer requirements. This is a practical, blue-collar role: you’ll run inspections, develop and enforce inspection and test plans (ITPs), work closely with production crews, and keep clear documentation. Strong leadership and clear communication across teams are required to keep production moving and quality high.
What You'll Do
- • Lead day-to-day QA/QC activities in assembly and production environments, including in-process and final inspections
- • Develop, implement and enforce inspection and test plans (ITPs) and standard operating procedures
- • Identify, document and troubleshoot quality issues; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- • Coordinate with production supervisors and trades to ensure materials, methods, and workmanship meet specs and codes
- • Maintain accurate quality records, non-conformance reports, and regular QA/QC status reports
- • Train crew members on quality expectations, inspection criteria, and safe work practices
What We're Looking For
- • Proven QA/QC experience in assembly or production environments (hands-on)
- • Leadership and team management with the ability to direct crews and inspectors in the field
- • Strong verbal and written communication across teams and with supervisors
- • Working knowledge of building codes, regulations, construction methods, and materials
- • Experience developing and enforcing inspection and test plans (ITPs)
- • Skilled in quality control management, inspections, and corrective action processes
Qualifications
- • 5+ years QA/QC experience in assembly, production, or construction-related manufacturing
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • Experience with ITPs and quality documentation; ASQ or CQI certifications a plus
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Forney, TX job sites
- • Able to read blueprints, drawings, and basic technical specifications
- • English — fluent; Spanish speaker a plus
