Full Time
Quality Site Coordinator — QA/QC Manager (Nationwide)
About This Role
Join as a Quality Site Coordinator supporting QA/QC activities across industrial construction and fabrication projects nationwide. You’ll travel to active jobsites and fabrication shops to perform inspections, manage documentation, verify compliance, and coordinate between field crews, subcontractors, customers, and the Quality Department. This is a hands-on, field-first role. Expect frequent travel, extended hours on-site when needed, and direct responsibility for weld logs, material traceability, inspection reports, hydrotesting support, and turnaround/mechanical completion activities. Reliable communication, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work with multiple projects at once are essential.
What You'll Do
- • Implement and support project-specific quality plans, inspection requirements, and ITPs on site and in fabrication shops.
- • Maintain weld logs, material traceability, calibration records, inspection reports, and turnover documentation.
- • Perform and assist with weld, coatings, and mechanical inspections; support hydrotesting and mechanical completion activities.
- • Prepare daily and weekly quality reports; track NCRs, punch lists, corrective actions, and inspection status until closeout.
- • Schedule and coordinate customer and third-party inspections; conduct project walkdowns and compile turnover packages; communicate quality issues to project leadership.
What We're Looking For
- • 2+ years’ experience in industrial construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or QA/QC field support (2–5 years preferred).
- • Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection/test plans.
- • Strong documentation skills — electronic and hard-copy record management; proficient with Microsoft Office and document control systems.
- • Comfortable working in the field: climbing, confined spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing PPE; able to work extended hours and travel frequently.
- • Clear communicator who can coordinate with operations, subcontractors, customers, and third-party inspectors; strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in Welding, Construction Tech, or Quality preferred.
- • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred).
- • NCCER credentials and/or AWS CWI or CWI training preferred.
- • CPR / First Aid certification.
- • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel frequently and work away from home as project demands require.
What We Offer
- • Travel paid — per diem or mileage reimbursement for out-of-town assignments and overnight stays.
- • Overtime and extended-hours pay when working shutdowns, turnarounds, or weekends.
- • Opportunity for paid training and certification support (AWS CWI prep, NCCER, OSHA).
- • Basic benefits package options — medical/dental/401(k) available (plan details vary by employer).
- • Safety gear provided and a field-first team environment with on-the-job learning and advancement.
