Join a crew placing and tying rebar for bridge footings, columns, decks and roadway barriers across Florida. You’ll work outdoors on highway and bridge projects, following design drawings and foreman direction to keep jobs on time and built to spec. This is hands-on field work in a fast-paced team environment. Expect day shifts with possible overtime, nights or weekend work when required. If you have field rebar experience, reliable transportation, and want to develop your craft with site-specific training, this role is for you.

What you'll do

  • Tie and place reinforcing steel in bridge footings, columns, pier caps, decks, approach slabs and barrier walls
  • Carry, position and mark heavy steel bars in 10–60 ft lengths; use paint/keel to mark bars for cutting or tying
  • Secure intersections with tie wire and pliers; install rebar horizontally for slabs and vertically for columns/walls
  • Follow design drawings and foreman instructions to meet quality and schedule requirements
  • Comply with all site safety rules, report unsafe conditions, and stop work when hazards are observed
  • Maintain basic tools and assist with site cleanup and loading/unloading rebar bundles when needed

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 6 months documented field rebar (rodbusting) experience required
  • Able to consistently lift up to 75 lbs and carry long rebar lengths safely
  • Reliable transportation to and from Tampa-area job sites
  • Comfortable working outdoors and at heights; able to work in varied weather
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and basic design markings
  • Willingness to work overtime, nights or weekends and travel to jobs across Florida

Qualifications

  • NCCER certification or ability to pass the NCCER assessment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Access to basic rodbusting tools
  • Minimum 6 months documented field rebar experience
  • Able to lift 75 lbs and work at heights
  • Willing to travel across Florida for projects; open to relocation

What we offer

  • Health benefits available after 90 days of employment
  • 401(k) plan eligibility after one year
  • Site-specific safety training and ongoing craft development
  • Overtime opportunities on active bridge and highway projects
  • Stable work on multi-site Florida bridge/highway contracts
