Roll Form Operator

About This Role

Join a hands-on production team in Phoenix as a Roll Form Operator running and maintaining a roll forming line for steel components. You’ll lead daily production, perform setups and changeovers to print specs, keep equipment running with routine maintenance, and inspect parts for quality and correct dimensions. This role includes training and coordinating other operators, keeping accurate labor and inventory records, and using basic computer tools (Smartsheet, Excel, Word). You’ll also handle finished parts—stacking, marking, packing and moving materials with a forklift while following safety procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, operate, and adjust roll forming machines and related equipment to meet print specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform daily inspections, preventative and routine maintenance; keep setup charts and maintenance logs current.
  • Read blueprints/sketches, check panels for quality, manage scrap and material usage logs, and report production metrics.
  • Lead and train other operators; organize, stack, mark, pack, and move finished parts (use forklift regularly).
  • Record labor and inventory accurately using Smartsheet/Excel/Word; complete coil tags and footage records for inventory systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years manufacturing or machine operator experience; prior roll forming experience strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years forklift experience and current forklift certification.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools, gauges, band saws, drills, grinders, and basic CNC/AMS/Eclipse controls (experience a plus).
  • Able to read basic blueprints and measure to tight tolerances; strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or sit for long periods, and follow all PPE and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Forklift Operator certification (required)
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience; 2+ years forklift experience
  • Proficient with Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read blueprints and use basic shop math; mechanical aptitude
