Roofer / Metal Building Assembler

About This Role

Hands-on Roofer / Metal Building Assembler needed in Garland, TX. You’ll work on pre-engineered metal buildings performing both erection and sheeting phases. Safety is the top priority — follow OSHA and job-specific lift, bracing and erection plans while working with project foremen. This is physical work at elevated heights installing primary and secondary steel, wall panels, standing-seam roof systems, metal deck and insulation. $25/hr with steady hours, on-site safety training, and year-end bonus/profit sharing opportunities.

What You'll Do

• • Follow OSHA 1926 and all site-specific safety, lift, bracing and erection plans
• • Unload, shakeout and organize materials safely on site
• • Read and follow manufacturer erection drawings, installation manuals and project plans
• • Erect pre-engineered primary and secondary steel and perform steel connecting duties
• • Install single-skin and insulated metal wall panels, standing seam roofs and metal deck
• • Participate in on-site safety and quality training; work safely at elevated heights

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years experience installing pre-engineered metal buildings (erection and sheeting)
• • Able to serve as primary or secondary steel connector and as building sheeter
• • Qualified rigger/signal person or able to pass 3rd-party certification
• • OSHA 10 card required; certified forklift and aerial (scissor lift) operators preferred
• • Physical strength and stamina — lift 50+ lbs regularly and work long hours outdoors
• • Comfortable working at heights and following detailed erection sequences

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10
• • Qualified rigger / signal person (or ability to pass 3rd-party cert)
• • Certified forklift operator (reach forklift preferred)
• • Certified aerial work platform / scissor lift operator
• • Ability to read manufacturer's erection drawings and installation manuals
• • Experience with sheet metal, general welding and metal deck installation preferred
