Safety Advisor — Drywall (Atlanta, GA)
About this role
Join our Atlanta crew as a hands-on Safety Advisor focused on drywall work. You will be in the field conducting safety audits, inspecting job sites, completing incident reports, and coaching crews on safe work methods. This role is for a practical safety pro with at least 3 years of construction/drywall experience who can lead investigations, enforce site rules, and deliver clear, on-the-ground guidance to crews. Reliable transportation is required; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
What you'll do
- • Perform regular on-site safety audits and inspections across drywall job sites in the Atlanta area
- • Complete accident/incident reports and lead root-cause investigations when incidents occur
- • Advise and train employees on safe work practices, toolbox talks, and site-specific procedures
- • Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and building code requirements
- • Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection logs, and follow-up action tracking
- • Attend site meetings and coordinate with project supervisors to resolve hazards
What we're looking for
- • Minimum 3 years construction experience, with direct drywall industry experience preferred
- • Proven ability to perform safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to advise crews and write clear reports
- • Leadership and conflict-resolution skills to enforce procedures on site
- • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Atlanta-area job sites
- • Willingness to work a site schedule and conduct field-based training and inspections
Qualifications
- • CPR, AED, First Aid certification
- • OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications
- • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- • Strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and drywall safety practices
- • English required; Spanish bilingual a plus
