About This Role

Security and Fire Alarm Technician needed in Denver, CO. You’ll install, program, test, and service commercial and residential security and life-safety systems. Pay range $25–$35/hr depending on experience, plus overtime pay when applicable. This is hands-on field work across the Denver metro — installation sites, service calls, and occasional nights or weekend on-call shifts. We provide tools or tool allowance, company vehicle for work travel, and paid training to move you up to lead tech or estimator roles.

What You'll Do

  • Install, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, coax, fire-rated) and mount devices per plans
  • Program and calibrate alarm panels, access control units, card readers, and notification devices
  • Test systems, run acceptance checks, document results, and troubleshoot faults on-site
  • Perform routine service calls, repair defective components, and replace batteries/modules
  • Read blueprints and riser diagrams, coordinate with general contractors and site supervisors
  • Keep accurate job logs, complete work orders, and maintain inventory of parts and tools

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years hands-on experience with security, fire alarm, or low-voltage systems
  • Comfort working at heights, in crawl spaces, and in commercial/residential sites
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to use multimeter and hand tools
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to the shop
  • Able to pass background check and drug screen; authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • NICET certification or equivalent low-voltage/fire-alarm credentials preferred
  • State low-voltage or alarm licensure where required (or ability to obtain)
  • OSHA 10 (or willing to obtain), CPR/First Aid preferred
  • High school diploma or GED; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Current driver’s license and proof of insurance
