Solar Foreman

Asbury, MO

About This Role

Looking for a hands-on Solar Foreman in Asbury, MO to lead field crews and run solar installation jobs from start to finish. This role is for an experienced PV installer/technician who’s ready to step into a supervisory position — organizing daily work, keeping projects on schedule, and ensuring quality installs. You’ll be the on-site point person: setting layouts, directing crew tasks, handling troubleshooting, and communicating job progress to management. If you know PV systems, roofing work, and electrical basics, and you like running a jobsite and training crews, this is a straightforward foreman role with clear responsibilities and room to grow.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate daily solar installation activities for residential and small commercial sites.
  • Set layouts, mark roof penetrations, install racking, mount modules, and oversee electrical tie-ins.
  • Perform quality checks, enforce safety procedures, and ensure work meets NEC and local code.
  • Assign crew tasks, train technicians on best practices, and troubleshoot on-site problems.
  • Track progress, keep daily reports, communicate status with project management, and manage material/tool inventory.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure punch-list items are completed before closeout.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years hands-on PV installation experience with at least 1 year in a lead or foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of PV system installation, roof mounts, wiring, grounding, and inverters.
  • Ability to read plans, single-line diagrams, and follow site layouts accurately.
  • Comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using hand/power tools safely.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites in the area.
  • Good communication skills to direct crews, report to management, and interact with inspectors/homeowners.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 (required) — OSHA 30 preferred
  • NABCEP PV Installation Professional or PV Associate (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Spanish language skills a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay with performance-based bonuses (pay commensurate with experience).
  • Overtime opportunities and consistent local work in Asbury and surrounding areas.
  • Paid training and on-the-job upskilling to advance into supervisory roles.
  • Tool allowance or stipend and reimbursed jobsite mileage where applicable.
  • Paid time off and support for certification training (as available).
