Superintendent

About This Role

Join a busy commercial construction team in Austin, TX as a Superintendent. You’ll run the jobsite day-to-day: supervise crews and subcontractors, keep work on schedule and on budget, enforce safety, and make sure materials and tools are secured. This is a per diem role paying $31k+/yr (base varies by assignment). We need a hands-on leader familiar with commercial/civil construction methods who can inspect work, coordinate permits and inspections, and keep clear project documentation. Open to workers willing to relocate to Austin.

What You'll Do

• • Oversee all onsite construction activities and daily site setup/closeout
• • Supervise and coordinate field crews and subcontractors to meet schedule and quality targets
• • Monitor job progress, track time-and-materials, and report project performance to management
• • Enforce safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and secure materials and equipment onsite
• • Coordinate permits, inspections, and site logistics with inspectors, vendors, and suppliers
• • Inspect completed work for quality, document issues, and drive punchlist completion

What We're Looking For

• • Proven construction project supervision experience in commercial or civil projects
• • Strong leadership and crew management — direct supervision of field personnel and subs
• • Clear verbal and written communication with team members, vendors, and inspectors
• • Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and work inspection
• • Inventory control, supply-chain coordination, and time-and-material management skills
• • Ability to track performance, assess risks, and keep accurate project documentation

Qualifications

• • OSHA 30 (required)
• • OSHA 10 (required)
• • Fluent English (verbal and written) for crew and inspector communication
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
