Superintendent — Civil Foreman (Day Shift)
About This Role
We need an experienced Civil Foreman / Superintendent to lead civil construction work in an industrial setting in Forsyth, GA. This is a hands-on field foreman role (not a civil project manager) on a day shift schedule, responsible for supervising crews, enforcing safety, and keeping projects moving on schedule. Pay is $32.00/hr with a $125/day per diem for eligible workers who live 50+ miles away. Must have 10+ years of construction and industrial field experience and strong skills in drawing interpretation, crew leadership, site layout and quality control.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on industrial sites; lead crews and subcontractors to complete scope safely and on schedule
- • Read and interpret civil drawings; perform site layout and staking checks; ensure work matches plans and specifications
- • Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks; enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- • Coordinate materials, equipment, and logistics; manage deliveries and on-site staging to avoid delays
- • Maintain project documentation: daily reports, timecards, change logs, inspection records, and basic billing inputs
- • Communicate clearly with supervisors, subcontractors, and trades; resolve conflicts and make on-the-spot decisions
What We're Looking For
- • 10+ years of construction/industrial field experience as a foreman or superintendent
- • Proven ability to read and interpret civil drawings and construction plans
- • Strong leadership and crew management skills with clear verbal and written communication
- • Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and site safety practices
- • Experience with site layout, quality control inspections, risk assessment and mitigation
- • Familiarity with subcontractor coordination, basic budget tracking, and construction management software
Qualifications
- • 10+ years construction or industrial field experience
- • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 30 (preferred) or OSHA 10
- • Flagger / traffic control certification (preferred)
- • Proven experience with civil drawing interpretation and site layout
