Superintendent - Metal Building Projects

About This Role

Superintendent based in Clarksville, TN needed to run metal building projects across the region. You’ll supervise erector crews, coordinate day-to-day operations, and travel to job sites as required. This is a hands-on role: you’ll ensure quality work, enforce safety procedures, keep crews on schedule, and communicate progress with project stakeholders. Ideal for a proven construction leader who knows metal building erection and can manage crews in the field.

What You'll Do

• • Oversee daily construction activities on metal building jobs and direct erector crews
• • Coordinate scheduling, crew assignments, equipment, and deliveries at each site
• • Perform site layout checks, work inspections, and ensure work meets plans and codes
• • Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant jobsite
• • Communicate daily with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work on schedule

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience supervising metal building erection or similar steel/metal construction
• • Strong construction project management and crew leadership skills
• • Clear verbal and written communication across crews, subcontractors, and management
• • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
• • Hands-on experience with site layout, work inspection, and quality control
• • Ability to travel to multiple project sites and manage time effectively

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
• • Proven metal building erection experience and ability to read blueprints
• • High school diploma or GED
• • Forklift, crane, or rigging certifications preferred; CPR/First Aid a plus
