Superintendent
About This Role
Superintendents needed across Texas to run day-to-day field operations on commercial, industrial, and large residential jobs. You’ll lead crews and subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, read plans, and keep projects on schedule and on spec. This role is hands-on: layout, inspect work, coordinate deliveries and permits, resolve field issues, and keep clear daily records. What You'll Do
- • Lead daily site activities: supervise crews and subcontractors, assign work, and verify trade sequencing.
- • Enforce safety, quality, schedule, and specification compliance; conduct toolbox talks and safety walkthroughs.
- • Read and interpret plans, set site layout, oversee formwork, concrete placement, and civil scopes as required.
- • Coordinate inspections, permits, deliveries, and on-site logistics; manage inventory and materials to avoid schedule delays.
- • Communicate daily with project managers, clients, and stakeholders; document decisions, RFIs, change orders, and jobsite reports.
- • Troubleshoot field issues, perform work inspections, manage punch lists, and support project closeout and turnover.
What We're Looking For
- • 5+ years construction field supervision (superintendent/foreman) with commercial or industrial experience preferred.
- • Strong drawing and blueprint reading; ability to interpret civil and technical drawings on site.
- • Proven leadership and subcontractor management skills; effective verbal and written communication with crews and stakeholders.
- • Knowledge of building codes, inspections, permits, safety procedures (OSHA), and quality control practices.
- • Experience with schedule control, time & material tracking, cost awareness, and maintaining project documentation.
- • Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with construction management software; able to produce daily reports and job-cost entries.
Qualifications
- • OSHA 30-hour preferred; OSHA 10 minimum
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel across Texas job sites
- • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or construction management certificate a plus
- • NCCER or trade certifications and/or LEED experience is a plus
- • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; able to pass background and drug screening
