About this role
Hands-on Superintendent needed in McKinney, TX to run daily site operations on commercial builds. You will lead small crews, handle material flow, keep the site safe and organized, and complete general carpentry tasks when needed. This is a day-shift role with a steady schedule. Expect to coordinate deliveries, set up temporary fencing, direct loading/unloading, enforce housekeeping standards, and keep accurate daily logs and work plans.
What you'll do
- • Supervise crew day-to-day: assign tasks, monitor progress, enforce safety and quality
- • Coordinate loading and unloading of materials and equipment at the site
- • Install and maintain temporary fencing, gates and perimeter protection
- • Perform and oversee general carpentry tasks (blocking, sheathing, cleanup repairs)
- • Manage site clean-up, debris removal, and daily housekeeping to meet inspection standards
- • Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers and project management; keep daily reports and logs
What we're looking for
- • Proven hands-on experience leading construction crews on commercial sites
- • Comfortable performing and directing loading/unloading and material handling
- • Strong general carpentry skills and ability to read basic plans and details
- • Able to enforce site safety and maintain clean, organized work areas
- • Reliable transportation to/from site and ability to arrive on time
- • Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for daily reports and photos
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- • OSHA 10-hour construction card (preferred: OSHA 30)
- • Forklift or equipment certification is a plus
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- • Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
