Per Diem

Traveling Superintendent

Dallas, TX

About This Role

Traveling Superintendent needed for commercial construction projects based out of Dallas, TX. You will run job sites for a general contractor — read plans, lead crews, manage subcontractors and keep projects on schedule and on budget. This role requires hands-on superintendent experience working directly for a GC (not a subcontractor). This is a travel/per diem position open to local DFW candidates and those willing to travel or relocate. We pay competitive rates with per diem for travel assignments and offer solid benefits plus performance incentives for crews that finish projects on or ahead of schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and run daily site operations: lead foremen and trades, enforce quality and safety, and maintain cleanliness and logistics.
  • Read and implement construction documents: plans, specs and shop drawings; coordinate with architect/owner/engineer.
  • Schedule and coordinate all trades/subcontractors to meet milestones and maintain production targets.
  • Document daily reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders and as-built info using Procore or equivalent software.
  • Monitor schedule, cost impacts and punch lists; drive closeout, commissioning and turnover.
  • Communicate clearly with project manager, superintendents and owners; resolve issues in the field quickly.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years commercial construction experience with direct GC superintendent experience (NO subcontractor-only candidates).
  • Bilingual in Spanish — must communicate effectively with crews and supervisors in both languages.
  • Proven ability to read plans, specs and shop drawings and enforce commercial means & methods.
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); construction software experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently, accept per diem assignments and relocate when required.
  • Strong leadership, clear written/verbal communication, self-motivated and able to multi-task onsite.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years commercial superintendent experience (GC role)
  • Bilingual: Spanish required
  • Procore and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Preferred: Construction degree or related technical certificate
  • Recommended: OSHA 10 or 30 safety card
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel/relocate

What We Offer

  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability plus employer-paid life insurance
  • 401(k) with professional financial planning services
  • Performance-based incentives and profit sharing for qualifying projects
  • Paid time off, holidays and tuition reimbursement for professional development
  • Per diem for travel assignments and offsite relocation support when applicable
