Civil Surveyor — Pampa, TX

About This Role

Civil Surveyor needed on a large-scale data center construction in Pampa, TX. This is hands-on field work: you’ll run surveys, verify elevations and grades, perform layout and staking, and keep measurements accurate through all phases of construction. Pay starts at $30+/hr with per diem. You’ll work on an active site alongside concrete, civil, and utility crews. Expect outdoor work, travel to site, and a steady schedule while the project is active. Strong attention to detail, safe work habits, and reliable equipment operation are a must.

What You'll Do

• • Perform field surveys using total station, GPS, level, and hand tools on an active data center construction site
• • Verify site elevations, slopes, grades, and horizontal/vertical dimensions per plans
• • Assist with layout and staking for foundations, utilities, roads, and site features
• • Record and maintain accurate survey notes, measurements, and as-built data throughout construction phases
• • Coordinate with foremen and engineers to resolve discrepancies and ensure layout accuracy
• • Maintain and care for survey instruments and basic field equipment

What We're Looking For

• • Hands-on land surveying experience on commercial construction sites
• • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, technical drawings, and blueprints
• • Experience with site layout, staking, and verifying elevations/grades
• • Proficiency with total station, GPS survey equipment, and basic field tools
• • Physically able to work outdoors, walk uneven terrain, and lift equipment as needed
• • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to Pampa, TX; willing to work extended or overtime as required

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license (required)
• • OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety card (preferred)
• • Certified Survey Technician (CST) Level I or II (preferred)
• • First Aid/CPR (preferred)
• • Proven experience with total station/GPS and data collection software
• • English required; Spanish a plus
