Civil Surveyor — Pampa, TX

About This Role

Field Civil Surveyor needed for a large data center construction project in Pampa, TX. You’ll work outdoors performing layout, staking, and topographic checks across all phases of construction. This is a per diem position paying up to $35/hr. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of civil or construction surveying experience, are comfortable using GPS and total station equipment, and can read site plans and construction drawings.

What You'll Do

• • Perform construction staking, layout, and grade verification across the site
• • Conduct topographic and as-built surveys using GPS, total station, and related tools
• • Record and maintain accurate survey notes, field logs, and digital files
• • Verify elevations, batter boards, string lines, and control points per plans
• • Coordinate daily with engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors to resolve layout issues
• • Follow project specs and safety procedures while working outdoors in varying conditions

What We're Looking For

• • 1–3 years civil surveying or construction surveying experience
• • Hands-on experience with GPS and total station equipment (preferred)
• • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and blueprints
• • Strong attention to detail, field troubleshooting, and basic math skills
• • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and willing to travel to job site

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED
• • 1–3 years of civil or construction surveying experience
• • Experience operating GPS receivers and total stations
• • Able to read technical drawings and perform site layout
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • LSIT or surveying technician certificate preferred
• • OSHA-10 or equivalent safety training preferred
• • Able to pass drug screen and background check
• • Spanish language skills a plus
