Surveyor Party Chief

About This Role

Experienced Surveyor Party Chief needed for a day-shift assignment in Gail, TX. Pay is $46–$50/hour plus $150/day per diem for days worked. This is an immediate-start field role leading land-survey crews on site. You will run field surveys, lead and direct a small crew, interpret civil and technical drawings, and produce accurate field data. Day shift schedule — work on-site, get paid well, and receive per diem while on assignment.

What You'll Do

• • Lead and supervise a field survey crew as Party Chief on day shift assignments
• • Set up and operate survey instruments (GPS, total station) and data collectors
• • Perform site layout, stakeout, boundary and topographic surveys to spec
• • Interpret civil drawings, plats, and technical/blueprint details on site
• • Collect, verify, and manage survey data; produce accurate field notes and reports
• • Maintain field equipment, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with foremen/PMs

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 5+ years' land surveying experience in the field as Party Chief or senior crew member
• • Strong skills in land surveying, site layout, and stakeout procedures
• • Proven ability to read and interpret civil drawings, technical drawings, and blueprints
• • Hands-on experience with GPS, total station, and common data collectors
• • Crew leadership skills: assign tasks, train techs, and ensure quality control
• • Available to start ASAP and able to work on-site in Gail, TX (day shift)

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job site
• • 5+ years field surveying experience (Party Chief preferred)
• • Proficiency with GPS/Total Station and common data collectors/software
• • LSIT or PLS certification preferred (not required)
• • Ability to pass background and drug screening if required
