Surveyor

About This Role

Join a construction field crew in Atlanta, LA as a Surveyor. You’ll run site surveys, set up Trimble GPS and laser levels, record survey notes, and lay out work so crews can build to plan. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows construction site rhythm and takes pride in accurate stakes and measurements. This is a per diem position paying up to $45/hr. You’ll work alongside foremen, engineers, and trade crews to verify structure locations, document as-built conditions, and keep survey gear clean and calibrated. Ideal candidates have at least one year of construction experience and a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do

• • Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment, base station, SCS 900, GCS 900 and laser level for site surveys and layout
• • Perform survey note taking, field computations and plan reading to establish control and guide construction layout
• • Verify structure locations and survey existing site conditions; record as-built data and discrepancies
• • Maintain, clean and care for surveying tools and equipment; ensure batteries and data collectors are ready
• • Communicate survey results and layout instructions clearly to foremen, operators and crew members
• • Follow site safety rules and report issues; assist other crew tasks as directed

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 1 year of construction or field surveying experience
• • Experience operating Trimble GPS, SCS 900, GCS 900 and laser levels
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical drawings, and construction plans
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather
• • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on layout tasks

Qualifications

• • Valid U.S. driver’s license
• • Minimum one year construction or field surveying experience
• • CTS Level 1 preferred (or equivalent surveying certification)
• • Familiarity with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D preferred
• • Experience with aerial/drones and AS-Built data a plus
• • English proficiency for verbal and written communication on site
