About This Role

Hiring experienced CDL B Dump Truck Drivers to support heavy civil construction in Rockville, VA. You’ll haul dirt, stone, asphalt, and milling debris between sites to support grading, excavation, mainline pipe, processed water, milling, and paving work. This is a per diem position working on active site crews — safety and reliability are top priorities. You must have a minimum of two years of safe dump truck driving experience and a valid CDL B. Expect physically demanding work, variable weather, and close coordination with equipment operators and site supervisors. What You'll Do

• Safely operate dump trucks to haul dirt, stone, asphalt, milling debris and other materials between job sites.
• Support grading, excavation, mainline pipe, processed water, milling, and paving crews by delivering and removing materials as needed.
• Load and unload materials, ensure proper weight distribution, and comply with legal load limits and securement procedures.
• Follow assigned haul routes and traffic laws while adhering to company safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, report defects, and complete basic maintenance checks.
• Keep accurate delivery, load, and mileage logs and communicate status with supervisors and project teams.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of safe dump truck driving experience in heavy civil construction or similar hauling work.
• Valid CDL B license in good standing; CDL A is a plus.
• Clean driving record with strong knowledge of DOT regulations and weight limit requirements.
• Ability to load/unload materials safely and understand proper weight distribution and securement.
• Physically able to perform job duties in varying weather and site conditions; reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Clear communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, and crews.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B license (required); CDL A is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience with dump truck operations in construction.
• Current DOT medical card (recommended or required where applicable).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass required background/drug screenings.
• Basic reading and communication skills in English to follow load tickets, directions, and log requirements.
