About This Role

Drive materials that keep major projects moving. We’re hiring experienced CDL B Dump Truck Drivers in Philadelphia, PA to haul dirt, stone, asphalt, and milling debris for heavy civil construction work including site prep, grading, excavation, pipe work, and paving. This is a hands-on role: you’ll operate dump trucks safely, follow assigned haul routes and DOT rules, keep accurate logs, perform daily inspections and basic maintenance, and communicate directly with site supervisors and equipment operators. Steady regional work and overtime often available.

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate CDL B dump trucks to transport dirt, stone, asphalt, milling debris and other materials between job sites.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to legal load limits and haul instructions.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections; complete basic maintenance checks and report mechanical issues.
  • Keep accurate delivery, mileage, and load logs according to company and DOT recordkeeping requirements.
  • Follow assigned haul routes, traffic laws, site safety plans, and company/DOT safety policies at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with site supervisors, equipment operators and drivers to coordinate loads, timing, and site needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating a CDL B dump truck in heavy civil construction or similar hauling work.
  • Valid CDL B license; clean driving record required. CDL A is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, legal weight limits, and safe truck operation procedures.
  • Ability to perform daily inspections, basic vehicle maintenance checks, and accurately complete logs.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather and perform manual tasks related to loading/unloading.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL B license (required); CDL A (preferred)
  • Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain)
  • Clean driving record (no recent disqualifying violations)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Basic English reading and verbal communication skills for logs and crew communication
