Truck Driver — Night Shift (Class B CDL)

About This Role

Local night-shift Class B CDL truck driver needed in Paradise, PA to haul construction materials — dirt, stone, and asphalt — to job sites. This is a hands-on, non-exempt role: you’ll drive local runs, return home after your shift, perform vehicle inspections, keep accurate logs, and follow site directions from dispatch. You’ll work in a safety-first environment on predictable local routes. Pay is $25.00–$30.00/hr depending on experience, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus available to qualified candidates. Night-shift schedule and regular overtime opportunities may be available.

What You'll Do

• • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects and safety issues immediately
• • Load, haul, and deliver dirt, stone, and asphalt to jobsite locations using dump trucks / tri-axle as assigned
• • Maintain accurate truck logs in compliance with state, federal, and company regulations
• • Communicate with dispatcher about schedules, traffic, site conditions, and any delivery issues
• • Maintain truck cleanliness, basic maintenance, and follow repair guidelines from the Truck Driver's Handbook
• • Follow site safety directions, traffic control/flagging procedures, and perform other job-related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 1–2 years driving experience hauling construction materials (dirt, stone, asphalt)
• • Experience operating dump trucks, tri-axles, and flatbeds; safe backing and site delivery skills
• • Ability to perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and basic day-to-day vehicle maintenance checks
• • Comfortable working night shifts and able to return home after each shift
• • Good communication with dispatch and crews on-site; able to report delays or site issues clearly

Qualifications

• • Valid CDL Class B required (CDL Class A preferred)
• • Current DOT medical card (able to pass DOT physical)
• • Clean driving record and able to pass background and drug/alcohol screening
• • Familiarity with state and federal logkeeping requirements
• • English required for safe communication on-site and with dispatch
