Night-Shift Class B CDL Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver
About this role
Hiring a dependable Class B CDL driver for night-shift tri-axle dump truck runs in Paradise, PA. This is a local route position — drivers haul dirt, stone, and asphalt to job sites and return home after each shift. The role focuses on safe hauling, accurate DOT logs, daily pre- and post-trip inspections, and clear communication with dispatch and site personnel. You’ll keep your truck clean and report maintenance needs so work stays on schedule and equipment stays reliable.
What you'll do
- • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report damage, safety issues, or signs of tampering.
- • Load and haul dirt, stone, asphalt and other construction materials to assigned jobsites using a tri-axle dump truck.
- • Maintain accurate truck logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- • Communicate with dispatcher about schedules, site access, traffic delays, and changing site conditions.
- • Keep assigned truck clean and report maintenance or repair needs per company procedures.
- • Follow site safety rules and assist site crews as needed during material delivery and placement.
What we're looking for
- • Proven experience operating tri-axle dump trucks on local construction routes.
- • Comfort driving at night and working a night-shift schedule.
- • Knowledge of loading/unloading procedures and safe material handling for dirt, stone and asphalt.
- • Ability to complete DOT-compliant logs and perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections.
- • Clear communication skills with dispatch and jobsite personnel; dependable and punctual.
Qualifications
- • Valid Class B CDL required; Class A CDL also accepted.
- • Current DOT medical certificate (CDL medical card) and ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
- • Clean driving record and ability to comply with federal/state safety rules.
- • HazMat endorsement and equipment certifications (forklift, loader) are a plus.
- • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for logs and dispatch communications.
