Welder Fabricator

About This Role

Experienced Welder/Fabricator needed in Chattanooga, TN. This hands-on role focuses on fitting, welding, and modifying metal components across a range of projects. You’ll work with a crew to meet project deadlines and be expected to run equipment safely, read technical drawings, and verify part accuracy. Pay up to $28/hr. This is full-time work with 8-, 10- or 12-hour shift options and required overtime at times. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the flexibility to put in extra hours when projects demand it.

What You'll Do

• • Perform fitting, tack welding, full welds and finish work on steel and stainless components
• • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and technical drawings to set up jobs
• • Clean, prepare and fit parts prior to welding; verify measurements and material accuracy
• • Operate grinders, saws, brake presses and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• • Complete required welds (GMAW/FCAW/Flux Core/Short Circuit/Spray) and document welds as instructed
• • Keep work area clean, maintain tools and collaborate with team members to meet production schedules

What We're Looking For

• • 2–5 years fabrication or welding experience (structural, stainless and tank welding experience preferred)
• • Able to read a tape measure, lay out parts and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• • Proven ability with GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes
• • Must pass multiple welding tests including Flux Core, Spray and Short Circuit
• • Physically able to lift materials, stand for long periods and work extended shifts/overtime when required
• • Punctual, reliable, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Qualifications

• • Must pass Flux Core, Spray and Short Circuit welding tests (required)
• • Experience with GMAW and FCAW processes
• • AWS certification or other welding certifications preferred
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screen/background check
• • English — able to read safety documents and work instructions
