In May 2025, Mortenson faced an urgent staffing need: to fill multiple roles in multiple states while allowing their recruiting team—spread across 6 states—to collaborate on hiring. They needed to hire heavy equipment operators & mechanics, surveyors, welders, carpenters, journeyman electricians and laborers across Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee and Utah. Previously the recruiting team tried traditional job boards ZipRecruiter and Indeed, but these platforms lack the crucial details to make the right hiring decisions and lack scalability, which is mission critical to Mortenson.
