Perform structural welding on steel frameworks for commercial and industrial construction projects
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and structural drawings
Fit, align, and prepare steel components prior to welding
Use welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW based on job requirements
Inspect welds to ensure they meet structural integrity and code standards
Repair or reinforce steel structures as needed on site
Follow OSHA safety standards and job site safety protocols at all times
Work closely with ironworkers, riggers, and other construction crews
Operate welding equipment and maintain proper setup and maintenance
Work in various conditions including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments
Document completed work and report any issues or safety concerns to supervisors
