Carpenter - Fabrication & Assembly

About this role

Mortenson is hiring Carpenter team members to work in an indoor manufacturing facility assembling and fabricating construction products. This is a hands-on role that supports concrete pour setup, material handling, quality checks, packaging, and safe production support. Candidates should have construction, manufacturing, fabrication, carpentry, or metal fabrication experience and be able to work accurately and safely with minimal supervision. What you'll do

• Set up beds/forms and prepare areas for concrete pours
• Fabricate and assemble components and assemblies per drawings
• Operate standard hand and power tools safely and accurately
• Load/unload materials, stage inventory and prepare packaging for shipping
• Perform detailed quality checks and document inspection results
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area; follow production schedules with minimal supervision

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in construction, manufacturing or fabrication
• Preferred background in light manufacturing, carpentry or metal fabrication
• Able to operate standard hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with minimal supervision
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to follow direction and safety rules
• Able to perform repetitive motions and lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs (assisted or with equipment for heavier loads)

Qualifications

• Trade or technical school certificate/diploma preferred
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
