Commercial Carpenter

About This Role

Join a busy commercial concrete crew in Dallas, TX building rough wooden structures and concrete formwork for large projects. This is hands-on work—you'll build vertical and horizontal forms, gang forms, scaffolds and temporary shelters, work from plans and sketches, and perform heavy, physical tasks outdoors. Pay is up to $37/hr. Candidates must have several years of commercial carpentry experience, be comfortable working at heights and in all weather, and supply their own basic hand tools. Safety and a drug-free work environment are required.

What You'll Do

• • Build vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, and temporary frame shelters from sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions
• • Lay out, measure, cut, and assemble rough carpentry items including scaffolds, bracing, and formwork
• • Erect and strip forms and perform general concrete-related carpentry as directed on site
• • Follow site safety protocols, use PPE, maintain a drug-free work environment, and keep work areas clean
• • Work outdoors and at elevated heights; lift and move materials as needed to support crew tasks

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years commercial construction carpentry experience preferred, with formwork experience a plus
• • Able to read and work from drawings, sketches, and blueprints
• • Comfortable working at heights and in all weather; frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• • Provide and maintain your own basic hand tools (hammer, speed square, tape, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch)
• • Commitment to site safety, following instructions, and maintaining a drug-free workplace

Qualifications

• • 3+ years commercial carpentry experience preferred
• • OSHA 10 (or equivalent safety training) preferred
• • Able to pass pre-employment drug screening
• • Own basic carpentry hand tools
• • Ability to travel to jobsite and reliable transportation
