Commercial Carpenter - Chattanooga, TN

About This Role

Hands-on commercial carpenter needed for concrete formwork and structural supports on commercial projects in Chattanooga, TN. You’ll build vertical and horizontal forms, gang forms, blocking, scaffolds and other temporary structures from sketches, blueprints or oral instructions. This is physical work performed outdoors in all weather and often at elevation. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, work safely in a drug-free environment, and provide your own basic carpentry hand tools (hammer, speed square, tape, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch). Competitive pay based on experience and steady project work.

What You'll Do

• • Build vertical/horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking and temporary structures from sketches, blueprints or oral instructions
• • Install and dismantle scaffolds, form ties, bracing and shoring; set formwork for pours and assist during concrete placement
• • Measure, cut and fasten lumber and form components to specified dimensions and tolerances
• • Maintain a clean, safe work area; follow jobsite safety rules and use fall protection when working at height
• • Coordinate with crew members, concrete crews and supervisors to meet pour schedules and project timelines

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years commercial carpentry experience preferred, with emphasis on concrete formwork and gang forms
• • Able to work at elevated heights, outdoors in all weather, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• • Able to read and follow sketches, blueprints and layout marks; measure and cut accurately
• • Provide and maintain basic hand tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch)
• • Pass pre-employment drug screen and follow all site safety protocols

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour construction card preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • Able to pass background and drug screen
• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• • Forklift or equipment certifications a plus
