Journeyman Carpenter — Commercial Casework & Millwork

Nationwide

About This Role

Seeking a hands-on Journeyman Carpenter for nationwide commercial work focused on high-quality interior finishes. You’ll install and finish commercial casework, millwork, and interior ornamental metal components on large-scale projects — hospitals, office towers, retail, and institutional builds. This role is for skilled finish carpenters who read shop drawings, work clean and precise, and travel when needed. Pay is competitive and based on experience; opportunities for overtime and per diem on long runs. If you take pride in tight tolerances, neat installations, and reliable attendance, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Install and finish commercial casework and millwork to shop drawings and site conditions
  • Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and install trim, panels, countertops, doors, and hardware
  • Fit and install interior ornamental metal components and coordinate with metal trades
  • Perform bench carpentry and cabinetmaking tasks as required for site installations
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, submittals, and field measurements; report discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow site safety and quality standards

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years commercial finish carpentry or journeyman-level experience on large projects
  • Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, shop layouts, and measurements
  • Skilled in bench carpentry/cabinetmaking, trim & paneling, and precise measuring/cutting
  • Experience installing casework, millwork, doors/hardware, countertops, and window/entrance interfaces
  • Able to travel nationwide, work overtime when needed, and lift/handle heavy materials

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
  • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) card
  • Completion of carpentry apprenticeship, NCCER credential, or equivalent journeyman certification
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Proficient English reading skills for drawings; bilingual candidates encouraged to list languages on application

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience; regular overtime opportunities
  • Per diem and travel pay on out-of-town assignments
  • Health, dental, and vision plans available
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match or contribution
  • Paid time off and paid holidays; tool/travel allowance where applicable
