About this role
We are hiring experienced concrete carpenters in the Cincinnati, OH area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government construction projects. This is a per diem role for crew members who can read plans, set layout, and deliver accurate, durable formwork on schedule. You will work on active job sites alongside other trades, following drawings and specifications to ensure forms are square, plumb, and ready for concrete placement. Candidates should be able to travel to multiple sites, work as part of a team, and are open to relocation if needed.
What you'll do
- Build, set up, brace, and strip concrete forms per drawings and site instructions
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as-built notes for form layout
- Perform site layout, measure and cut materials, and install formwork components accurately
- Check alignment, tolerances, and quality of formwork prior to concrete placement
- Collaborate with foremen, laborers, and concrete crews to coordinate pours and sequencing
What we're looking for
- Proven experience with concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and as-built drawings
- Strong measuring, cutting, and general framing carpentry skills
- Experience with site layout, civil construction standards, and concrete placement coordination
- Comfort using hand and power tools and working at typical construction site conditions
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and basic reading)
- Proven concrete formwork carpentry experience
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites
