Concrete Carpenter (Formwork) — Cincinnati, OH

About this role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the Cincinnati, OH area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This is a per diem, project-based role that requires hands-on formwork experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely on busy job sites. You’ll work with a small crew to layout, build, set and strip forms, read plans, and coordinate with concrete crews. Candidates who are bilingual (English/Spanish) and open to relocation or travel for assignments are encouraged to apply.

What you'll do

• • Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms for walls, footings, slabs and other structures
• • Interpret construction drawings, as-built drawings and formwork plans to lay out work accurately
• • Measure, cut and assemble lumber, plywood and form accessories to specified tolerances
• • Install form ties, shoring and blocking; prepare forms for concrete placement and finishing
• • Coordinate with concrete crews during placement and ensure formwork integrity and safety

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or civil projects
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site layout plans and specifications
• • Strong measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry skills
• • Comfort working on government and commercial job sites and following site safety rules
• • Bilingual in English and Spanish or able to communicate effectively with bilingual crews

Qualifications

• • Fluent or working proficiency in English and Spanish
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for project travel
• • OSHA-10 (preferred) or equivalent site safety training
• • Able to pass drug screening and background check per client requirements
• • Proven track record of concrete formwork and general carpentry on similar projects
