Concrete Form Carpenter

About this role

We are hiring experienced concrete carpenters in Columbus, OH to build, set and break concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This is a hands-on, per diem position working with crews to deliver accurate, durable formwork and concrete placement. Candidates must be able to read and follow construction drawings, work safely on-site with scaffolding and rigging, and collaborate with other trades during pours. This role involves travel to regional job sites and may require extended days during pours and placements.

What you'll do

• • Build, assemble and set concrete forms per drawings and specifications
• • Lay out site and verify form locations, elevations and dimensions
• • Install bracing, shoring, ties and concrete reinforcing as needed
• • Work with rigging and scaffold systems to safely position forms
• • Inspect formwork for accuracy and quality prior to concrete placement
• • Coordinate with crew members during placement, finishing and form removal

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general concrete work
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and civil plans
• • Experience with concrete placement, finishing, curing and protection
• • Skilled with rigging, frame & system scaffolding, and concrete reinforcing
• • Capable of working in extreme heat/cold environments and on varied schedules
• • Strong time/material management, site layout and work inspection skills

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English and Spanish
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred)
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• • Rigging certification or demonstrated rigging experience (preferred)
