Concrete Carpenter

About this role

We are hiring experienced concrete carpenters in Columbus, OH for per diem assignments building and assembling concrete forms on commercial and government projects. You’ll work on site installing formwork, setting braces, and preparing for pours while following drawings and project specs. This is hands-on construction work for crews that value speed, accuracy and safety. Candidates must be able to read construction drawings, handle rigging and reinforcing tasks, and work efficiently with other laborers and foremen. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.

What you'll do

• • Build, install and dismantle concrete formwork and bracing per plans and site requirements
• • Read and interpret construction and civil drawings to layout forms and set dimensions
• • Set and secure concrete reinforcing, tie rebar as needed, and prepare for concrete placement
• • Collaborate with crew members, laborers and foremen to coordinate pours and on-site tasks
• • Inspect formwork for accuracy and quality; make adjustments to ensure proper alignment and finishes

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general concrete work on construction sites
• • Ability to read and interpret construction and civil drawings accurately
• • Experience with concrete reinforcing, placement/pouring, finishing support, and curing/protection
• • Familiarity with rigging, scaffolding (frame & brace, system), site layout, and work inspection
• • Comfort working in extreme heat/cold, following site safety rules, and managing time/materials on per diem assignments

• • Minimum several years of hands-on formwork and concrete carpentry experience
• • Experience on government or commercial construction projects preferred
• • Willingness to pass site background checks and comply with project site requirements
